Sweet Grayson Hughes Clarke -- I am an aunt!!!

My first niece, Grayson Hughes Clarke, was born on February 3 and weighed 7 lbs. 8 ounces and she is so adorable!!!!  I could just hold her and squeeze her to pieces! :)  I came down to Miami with my parents to see baby Grayson, Martha, and Dougan before I leave for Peru on Monday!  I had a little cold the first few days so I couldn't really hold her at first which was so miserable not to be able to hold my precious niece, but I got to later..!  She is such a bundle of joy and I could just look at her sweet face for days!

I am looking forward to meeting my 2nd niece after my time in Peru as well!  This is such a fun new season of life for my sisters and I'm so happy for them.  Children are a gift from the Lord!

Fun Road Trip back to Greenville...

Wow!  What a fun road trip I just had!!  I drove from San Antonio to Dallas with a friend for the night then went on to Memphis with my cello in the front seat and bike on the back and everything else I own packed in to the top.  Memphis was so much fun!  Always love steak night with the Stones! :)  What a great family!   It is always so much fun coming back to a place where you lived and seeing great friends!  From Memphis I went on to Nashville for a night to visit some friends!  We went to an awesome chicken restaurant called McDougals.... man and I thought zaxby's was good. If you ever get the chance, I would highly recommend it.  They had so many good sauces, best chicken and fries too!  It was fun meeting up with Lauren, Andrea, and Stevie all who I met and worked with in Memphis but live in Nashville now.  Nashville is such an awesome city!!!  I could definitely see myself living there one day.  It has such an artsy/musician feel to it.  That night I went to a recording studio to record a song on Justin Carlson's new cd!  It was fun coming up with cello lines to the song he wrote.  It turned out pretty nice.  I will see if I can post it on here when I get a copy of it! (picture is from the recording studio) I would love to be a cellist in Nashville playing with bands and recordings for my career!  The next morning we went to pancake pantry... delicious.  Then hit up a few coffee shops... Fido and The Frothy Monkey.  I loved them -- I love chillin' in coffee shops.  All the musicians seem to go to these since they work at night doing shows they prepare and hang out in coffee shops during the days.  What a life!

So, now I am back in Greenville.  I will be preparing for my time in Peru!  I just bought my ticket to Cusco, Peru and will be leaving March 2!  I get more excited each day as the time gets closer to when I am about to leave.  I also can't wait to go down to meet my adorable little neice, Grayson Hughes Clarke, down in Miami in about week, before I leave for Peru!  She is sooo adorable!
